Reg was working so we celebrated 2 days earlier. Daryl was fast to unwrap his presents but frustrated with the packaging.

August 2010

New car. August 2nd

Reg's new car. He has to take it back to get the stripe. It was raining when we picked it up so we were given a Kia umbrella.

We asked not to have the car cleaned or prepared because the first car we bought they sprayed a cleaner in the vents. I have allergies and got sick everytime we used the car for months. We asked for rust prevention so the car smelled pretty bad for a few weeks but I wasn't allergic to it. The kids had fun pulling off the new car plastic.

July 2010

Rental Car. July 18th

Reg's car was getting old and hurting his back. He liked the look of the Kia Soul but thought it was small. We went to the dealer to check out the car. We asked the salesman if we could sit in the car to see if it was ok for Reg's back. He said sure but then sat in the car showing the features. We ran out of time and had to leave.

Reg had a job interview 3 hours away and wasn't looking forward to the drive. I suggested renting a Soul. We gave the kids rides, tried out car seats, and went shopping. We went to Costco, bought 300$ of groceries, and had room for Keith's stroller and carseat. The car was fun to drive, big enough, and didn't hurt his back!

James' Presents. July 17th

James asked for a wallet for his birthday. I didn't feel comfortable buying him something that I thought he should pick out himself. Margo made him a wallet shaped coupon and we gave that to him instead.
