This was one of my childhood favorites. A few years ago I asked my mom if she knew what recipe she used and still had a hand written copy given to her by a friend. It had a "block" of maple sugar but she always used brown.
Baked Beans, Mom's


Place in crock pot:
3 cups dry white or navy beans
9 cups boiling water

Cook on high for 2.5 hours or until beans are soft and just starting to fall apart. Drain beans and return to crock pot.

Add:
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup ketchup
1 Tbs mustard
1 cup water
2 tsp curry
1 Tbp Worcester
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt

Cook on low heat for 8 hours or more.
