Dutch Apple Cake
Mix:
3 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (6 oz) margarine
Add:
2 1/4 cups milk
3 eggs
Peel and slice:
9 apples
Mix with:
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp lemon juice
In a greased 9 x 13" spread half of the batter then half of the apples. Repeat with the second half. Arrange apples slices nicely for a pretty cake or just dump it. Apples and batter can also be mixed. Cake is fairly heavy. Bake at 350º for 55-65 min.
